History

Marwadi Mahila Manch, Kathmandu, was founded in 1993 (Vikram Samvat 2050) under Marwadi Sewa Samiti, Nepal, to promote social service and women’s empowerment. It provides a platform for Marwadi women to unite, preserve cultural heritage, and contribute to society. The Manch has become a vital part of the Marwadi community, organizing events like Teej, Holi, and Gangaur, and supporting welfare initiatives such as scholarships, health camps, and aid for marginalized groups. In 2022–2024, it added 100 new members, held 16 executive meetings, and led programs like tree planting and charitable donations to goshalas and schools. Led by Mrs. Dhyana Kayara, appointed president on May 30, 2023, the Manch continues to champion service, culture, and community unity, earning recognition in regional competitions.
